At the Plantation Golf Resort & Spa, the picturesque Crystal River is right at your fingertips. At our full-service dive shop and marina, Crystal River Divers, you can jump right in and discover the fascinating underwater wildlife and fauna. We’ll instruct you how to snorkel and lead you into one of the world’s most popular freshwater dives. Apart from an extensive mix of wild species, our team at Crystal River Divers can also place you right alongside our friendly neighbors, the West Indian Manatees, who are a frequent sight in our waters from December through April.

Our Central Florida dive shop and marina is right on our property, placing you within convenient access to King’s Bay and the Crystal River headwaters, of which the main temperature is a comfortable 72 degrees all year long. Our dive shop and marina also offers a variety of kayak and boat rentals, making it easy to enjoy a scenic tour of the river at your own pace.

If you are a fan of diving and snorkeling, we’ll take you out to King’s Springs, where the water is 28 feet deep and the area is 75 feet wide. This is the highlight of the tour, because the entire area is a large underwater cavern with hundreds of fish and intriguing fossils. As well, you can explore nearby Rainbow River, where you’ll see numerous freshwater wildlife such as bass, gar, brim, and turtles.

If you are interested in taking a dive with us, the best times to go are in the early morning on weekdays and during the cooler times of year, meaning late fall and November-February. Plus, we can accommodate up to 17 on each dive tour, with numerous groups going out each day, and tours start at 8:00 am daily.
